Love Made You My Daughter

February 10, 2020

My bonus daughter was told I’m not her real mom, because I didn’t birth her… Ouch, that is a fact. No, I did not carry you or birth you, but if I had to, I would give you life by giving mine. The only way I know how to love her is unconditionally like mothers…

There are a lot of choices to be made when you are a mom – breastfeeding or formula, pacifier or no pacifier, co-sleeping or crib, baby wearing or stroller…the choices are endless. One big choice moms have to make is how they are going to handle diapers. It seems like everyone you know has a…

How To Create A Great Baby Bedtime Routine

August 26, 2019

sleeping baby

The first few weeks and months of parenthood fly by in a blur. The days flow into each other, and it seems impossible to find any time to sleep at all, let alone get into a regular routine. After a little while though, you start to get the hang of things. Before you know it,…

Lactation Lab

mother breastfeeding baby

Breastfeeding was both a challenging and beautiful journey. Sometimes it felt like it would be forever before I could be done, but other times it almost felt like it was going by fast. Until he started biting. You heard me – when my baby’s teeth started coming in, his need to explore biting did, too….

Advice For Moms With Picky Eaters

July 16, 2019

kid eating apple

We’ve all been there – you’ve just cooked a lovely dinner, and your kids take one look (or sniff), and flatly refuse to eat it. Sometimes that is just kids being kids (and not being excited about spinach), but if it’s happening all the time, you might just have a picky eater in your house….

Don’t You Worry Your Pretty Little Head

July 8, 2019

girl drinking from hose

Do you ever look at your children and think, “How can two kids who come from the same parents be so absolutely opposite?!” This is definitely the case with our four-year-old daughter and almost two-year-old son. With our third coming in three weeks we have zero predictions on what type of personality will inhabit his/her…

Kids And Technology

June 25, 2019

Don't be afraid to introduce your kids to technology. Be smart, and set boundaries, and use all of the great tech options available today for learning and fun!

In the digital world we live in today, it’s hard to set boundaries for kids with technology. These days It seems like every kid has an iPhone or some sort of electronic device. It absolutely blows my mind to compare my childhood with the ones of today’s modern kid. Let’s face it, it’s unavoidable, but…

Love Letters

November 15, 2018

Stacie

You know those days when your kids are behaving so badly in public you wish you could crawl under a rock and hide? Then an older woman walks by and tells you to enjoy it because it goes by so fast. I always mumble to myself “I sure hope so.” Love Letters Well, I’ll tell…

Fit4Mom

Tears welled up in my eyes on a hot summer day in July as I watched my husband head out the door for the day. He was going back to work after spending four weeks together as a new family of 3. I remember feeling nervous, lonely, and terrified of being left at home alone…

My Little Miracle

September 4, 2018

Eli

There is something to say about a mother’s intuition. I had that sinking feeling while my 3rd baby was in utero, that feeling that something was wrong. When I was about 7 months along, I was sent to a specialist because Eli’s head was measuring off the charts, and the doctors wanted to rule out…

About Jessica

Jessica Sleepless Mom Welcome sleepless moms! I haven’t had a full nights rest in over 2 years. Why, you ask? Because like you, juggling a toddler and a baby, working, and finding time for myself has left me sleepless, yet full of joy.

The inspiration for my blog came from tirelessly searching online for the answers new moms have, just to find out there is no right answer. My hope and vision is to create a community for moms to comment and share real life stories with one another when Google just isn’t cutting it. Whether you have specific questions or just want to comment and relate, this is your space to ask your fellow moms advice and know you’re not the only one that screws up from time to time.

I have assembled a well-rounded team that’s here to share their struggles and successes with you, as well as offer support in any way possible. This is an interactive site and we are here to cater to your mom needs. Please feel free to contact our team members with new topics you want us to tackle or even simple questions about motherhood. That’s what we are here for….
