I’m always looking for good books to read with my kids. I love books that teach valuable lessons and can open them up to new ideas. I also look for books that offer my kids the opportunity to read about diverse characters and cultures. Sometimes this can be hard to find. Ana Maria Medici, who is a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, also noticed the lack of books celebrating diversity for young children, and decided to write one herself: You Are Your Superpower!
You Are Your Superpower
This is a super cute book for girls. You Are Your Superpower takes readers on a journey around the world to discover the unique story of ten girls, all united by a commitment to their passions. Medici wanted to make sure their passions and superpowers showcased excellence in different fields, so she covers everything from athletics, to science, to the arts, and politics.
Through the stories of these incredible girls, readers learn about the power of persistence and finding what makes you feel your very best. The illustrations are lovely, too.
Sophie really enjoyed all of the stories, and we had a great time talking about the importance of being persistent after we read it. This is such an important lesson for kids to start learning young.
You can find You Are Your Superpower on Amazon. Get a copy today!
