One thing that I feel frequently as a working mom of three children is guilt. Am I there enough, am I doing enough?
Slowly I am learning to overcome these bad habits! We have enough mom shaming as it is, why do we do it to ourselves?
11 plus years as a mother and 18 years in the medical field, I fully understand the constant battles of work and being a mother. I have learned a thing or two during this time and am here to pass on some helpful hints!
Work-Life Balance
1. Understand that you are always a mom first, however, know when to turn mom-mode off. You are there to work, and your coworkers don’t think your kid is as adorable as you do, trust me!
2. Same goes for that moment you walk in the door after a long, horrible day…mom-mode ON 100%. No exceptions. Phone down and you go all in!
3. Lastly, I learned this one the hard way, but if you don’t make time for yourself and your body, you will fall behind and get into a slump that’s hard to get out of!
After three 60 lb pregnancies, stress and carbs, I found that slump, and I was stuck. I was hiding behind black oversized shirts and yoga pants. Truth be told I still don’t know how to do yoga! September of 2016 I got a hold of Plexus — all natural health supplements. These products got me feeling better, dropping weight, clearing up brain fog, and they gave me motivation to get in the spot light with my children.
I don’t care who you are, we all need a little help, and that is why I’m a firm believer in good supplements, no matter which kind you choose! The products I take give my second brain (aka: my gut) the balance and nutrition it needs to battle stress, pollutants, and toxins. They promote a healthy environment to keep my body functioning top notch.
Love me some good probiotic! Trust me, amazing things will happen once you put yourself first.
