We have so much fun going to SeaWorld. The great animal encounters, fun rides, and special events always stack up for a spectacular visit with great family memories. But beyond all of that, SeaWorld is much more than just a theme park. They are doing serious animal rescue and conservation work. And I love that visiting SeaWorld helps to support all of that great work.
SeaWorld has rescued over 40,000 animals since 1965, including:
- Aided more than 550 dolphins, whales, and porpoises
- Saved nearly 8,500 seals, sea lions and walrus
- Rescued more than 2,500 threatened and endangered sea turtles
- Helped more than 800 manatees
- Assisted 90+ otters
SeaWorld Rescue is available 365 days a year via their 24/7hotline. You can learn a lot more about their conservation efforts on SeaWorld San Diego’s Instagram account. I loved being able to follow the story of Cardiff, the dolphin calf rescued back in Janaury.
