With my first child, I had no idea what exactly to look for or what questions to ask to help me find the right pediatrician. Now, for my second baby, I kind of feel like I know the questions I want to ask, as well as what I want to hear.
I had the pleasure of interviewing not only a smart, educated man but a Doctor who literally puts his life on hold at times to travel the world to help those in need. His name is Dr. Peter Kim of Facey Medical Group, and he cares for children as a pediatrician in the Santa Clarita valley.
Dr. Kim very calmly discussed the questions I had for him as to what I should be looking for in a pediatrician. I was curious about the benefits of a pediatric group, and he explained why it’s a good idea to choose a pediatric group rather than a specific physician. He assured me that his practice would always be available for a 24-hour response. We discussed everything from vaccinations and physicals to new diseases and common childhood health issues.
I was very happy to hear that Facey Medical Group has cared for Santa Clarita families since the late ’60s. There are over 4 offices in my area of Santa Clarita alone, and 3 urgent care centers in the area — that certainly puts this mama’s mind at ease.
