Between all the new gadgets (what the hell is a wipe warmer?) and buying in bulk, it’s easy to end up with way too many baby things you will never use.
One piece of advice I wish I had listened to more is this: BABIES GROW FAST!!!
I know we’ve all heard it, but I never truly realized it until I had a baby of my own.
In preparation for my baby, I washed, ironed and organized all her new clothes into her little closet. Looking back at this, I can’t help but laugh. Unless you are Mom Of The Year, you probably won’t keep up with the ironing of your baby’s clothes.
As a new mom, you are basically just trying to survive the first few months — even if that means a couple of days of both you and your baby wearing the same pajamas.
Even if you are one of the moms who actually takes the time to dress your baby in something new each day, you will not need as much as you think.
Babies go through so many growth spurts they may actually skip a whole size and jump to the next size up!
Sure, baby clothes may be some of the cutest things in the world, but try to keep the purchases to a minimum. I hear moms complaining so often that there are still tags on most of the clothes their kids have outgrown.
My advice is to keep it simple and keep tags on outfits until you use them. In most cases you can return the unworn clothing for something new that will fit your baby in the future. Even if that future creeps up faster than you expect!
