With a new year comes new resolutions! We make them every year and like most people, they don’t always stick, but our intentions are good!
Jessica’s Resolutions
Every year I seem to make at least ten resolutions in hopes that at least one sticks. So, I’m setting the bar lower this year, and I’m going to make this simple. My resolution is to start letting go of the stuff I can’t control. Things don’t always go as planned and you will realize you just can’t make everyone happy. The second I fully accepted this, it felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I spend too much time worrying about so many little things that I lose track of what’s really important, like my marriage and being a mother. The happier I am, the better my home life is.
Taking time for myself and my family is my goal. This time we have together is short lived and I want to enjoy every bit of it other than always worrying about others and having unrealistic expectations of things that I can’t control. So here’s to 2019, the year of happiness, and going with the flow. Life is what you make it, and you can create your own intentions.

Plan, plan, and plan some more!
I bought a planner in October and still haven’t opened it. Geesh! My goal is to use it to help organize not only my mom life–play dates, appointments, errands, etc. But to also plan our social engagements, baking, blogging, auditions, etc. more efficiently.
If there is one thing this first year of motherhood has taught me is that Time. Goes. Fast. The more planned and prepared I am the more I seem to enjoy the moments as they are happening instead of stressing about what is about to happen or what hasn’t happened!
Happiest of New Year’s to you all and thanks for sharing this crazy world of motherhood! Best of wishes in this New Year!!
Thank you to everyone for all the love and support over the last year. Here’s to a happy, healthy, and successful 2019!
