Sleepless Mom

A blog for moms

From Infant To Toddler

Our son Michael Joseph was born January 30, 2016, weighing 7lbs. 12oz. at 21” long. Where did the time go? From infant to toddler in just one short year. The first year is filled with so many firsts; first smile, first roll over, first solid food, first laugh, first sit up, first stand, first word, first step, and of course all of his first Holidays. With every milestone my husband and I become more and more proud and we fall more and more in love with this perfect little human with each passing day.

When your new baby is first born, you don't realize how quickly time will pass. They grow from infant to toddler in what seems like only a few short days.

From Infant To Toddler

When I was pregnant, I remember not being able to see past the birth and newborn stage of baby. I remember getting toys and clothes for a 6 month old and thinking to myself that I wouldn’t have any use for it. Six month toys and clothes are for “older” babies, and didn’t they know I have an infant? Looking back now, I laugh at myself, because I was so wrapped up in the moment, not realizing the infant stage of a baby is such a short time.

Babies go from infant to toddler in just twelve short months.

When your new baby is first born, you don't realize how quickly time will pass, and they will grow from infant to toddler in what seems like only a few short days.

With the first birthday that has now come and gone, I now have one year down and forever to go. This year is now just a memory. Moments in time that I will cherish and carry with me for the rest of my life. Thankfully, I have more than enough pictures to help me keep the memory of my baby as he grew from infant to toddler in one amazing, but very short, year. And now I’m looking forward to all the new stages that being a toddler will bring.

About Jessica

Jessica Sleepless Mom Welcome sleepless moms! I haven’t had a full nights rest in over 2 years. Why, you ask? Because like you, juggling a toddler and a baby, working, and finding time for myself has left me sleepless, yet full of joy.

The inspiration for my blog came from tirelessly searching online for the answers new moms have, just to find out there is no right answer. My hope and vision is to create a community for moms to comment and share real life stories with one another when Google just isn’t cutting it. Whether you have specific questions or just want to comment and relate, this is your space to ask your fellow moms advice and know you’re not the only one that screws up from time to time.

I have assembled a well-rounded team that’s here to share their struggles and successes with you, as well as offer support in any way possible. This is an interactive site and we are here to cater to your mom needs. Please feel free to contact our team members with new topics you want us to tackle or even simple questions about motherhood. That’s what we are here for….
