I will be the first to admit that I was terrified of getting fat during pregnancy. I know it sounds terrible, but I have always been athletic and comfortable in my own skin. When people tell you that pregnancy takes over your body, they aren’t kidding!
As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I upped my workout routine and tried my best to keep my weight gain to a minimum. Looking back now, I can’t help but laugh, because your body is going to do what it’s going to do.
Your body will never look exactly the same as it did before, but that’s okay. You just grew and nurtured another human being. Give yourself some time. Remember, it took 9 months to put on that weight, and it will probably take the same time to get it off!
In hind sight, I wish I would have taken more advantage of the “I’m pregnant” excuse and indulged more in late night ice cream. Pregnancy is a time to pamper and care for yourself and that little one inside you!
