Imagine if kisses were all we needed to heal. Bisous for Leo is a sweet story about a young duck from France who has a “boo-boo” that you can’t see. In a brave act of kindness, Leo makes it his mission to help others like him by flying around the world gathering BISOUS (kisses in French) from all sorts of animals to help make him and his friends feel better.
Bisous for Leo
The book is based on a little boy named Leo Vauclare who was diagnosed with a rare, genetic neurodegenerative disease called Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD), at just two years old. INAD has been described as a combination of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s in children, and involves the rapid regression of all acquired skills including mental, cognitive and physical abilities.
100% of the proceeds from the book go to the Bisous For Léo fundraiser, which supports all of the most promising INAD research projects, including Leo’s clinical trial.
Purchasing a copy of Bisous for Leo online at Barnes & Noble or Amazon is a great way to support this important cause. Please visit www.BisousForLeo.org to learn more about Leo’s story and what they are doing to raise awareness about INAD, and follow @bisousforleo and @whitneypatapoff on Instagram.
