Air Fryer Recipes For Beginners

Does your kitchen have a new air fryer? Are you excited…but not quite sure what to do with it? That’s how I felt when I first got my air fryer. Here are a couple of fun ideas for your air fryer to get you started!

French fries on a wooden tray.

Fun Ideas For Your Air Fryer

French Fries

Everyone says to start with french fries, and they aren’t wrong! They are so easy to make, and they will help you fall in love with your air fryer. Start by preheating your air fryer 380º F. Cut a potato in half lengthwise, then into 1/4-inch slices. Cut those slices into 1/4-inch sticks. Rinse your potato sticks with cold water and pat them dry. Toss the fries with a teaspoon of olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put the fries in an even layer in the air fryer basket with no overlapping and cook for 14 minutes. Turn/shake them halfway through. Add a little more salt when you remove them. Depending on how many potatoes you cut, you may need to cook in batches.

Hard Boiled Eggs

We probably need another name for these, because they technically aren’t being boiled at all, but they will taste/look just like they were! Preheat your air fryer to 270º F. Place the eggs inside the basket of the air fryer. If you have a wired rack to keep the eggs in place, you can use one, but if not, just place them far apart and move slowly as you place the basket in your machine. Cook them for 15 minutes and then immediately move them into a bowl of ice water for five minutes. That’s it!

What are you cooking in your air fryer?

About Jessica

Jessica Sleepless Mom Welcome sleepless moms! I haven’t had a full nights rest in over 2 years. Why, you ask? Because like you, juggling a toddler and a baby, working, and finding time for myself has left me sleepless, yet full of joy.

The inspiration for my blog came from tirelessly searching online for the answers new moms have, just to find out there is no right answer. My hope and vision is to create a community for moms to comment and share real life stories with one another when Google just isn’t cutting it. Whether you have specific questions or just want to comment and relate, this is your space to ask your fellow moms advice and know you’re not the only one that screws up from time to time.

I have assembled a well-rounded team that’s here to share their struggles and successes with you, as well as offer support in any way possible. This is an interactive site and we are here to cater to your mom needs. Please feel free to contact our team members with new topics you want us to tackle or even simple questions about motherhood. That’s what we are here for….
